Introduction:

The crash courses are developed for Arab youth to raise their awareness about climate change challenges, impact, and its various aspects, and to comprehend the gravity of the climate crisis, and how to participate in overcoming it.

The program will kick off by defining Climate Change, its significance, and its causes, in addition to discovering what is Global Warming. The trainees will determine the humans’ role in amplifying the climate change crisis, focusing on Greenhouse gases which they’ll learn about in depth.

The magnitude of the climate change crisis will then be highlighted to the trainees when they examine the environmental, social, and economic impact of climate change while highlighting its impact on the Arab world.

Afterward, the trainees will explore several approaches to combat climate change, such as calculating their Carbon footprints, Plastic Waste Management, and understanding what is Circular Economy, while applying them through easy-to-apply methodologies such as the 4R framework (Reject-Reduce-Reuse-Recycle), the trainees will also explore what green jobs are and their importance.

This program will then conclude with a demonstration of the international efforts that are undertaken to limit climate change, followed by several actions that the trainees can easily take as individuals to actively play their role in halting the climate change crisis.

• Discover and apply environment-friendly habits and approaches such as Circular Economy, 4R framework for waste management, and Green Jobs.
• Examine global efforts being taken to combat Climate Change.
• Determine their ideal methods of limiting Climate Change.
